MUSIC

I started playing the guitar in late 2022, and from the moment I held the instrument, I felt something click. I’ve been learning ever since — both through formal lessons with a teacher and by teaching myself at home. I began with an acoustic guitar, and over time, I’ve grown more comfortable exploring different styles, especially classical guitar. I love how expressive classical pieces can be, even without lyrics.

One of the most special parts of my guitar journey is sharing it with my older sister. I often play classical or soft acoustic songs while she sings. Every year, our music school hosts a student showcase, and performing on stage together has become a meaningful tradition. It’s not just about the performance, it’s about the bond we build through music and the memories we create.

In May 2024, I had the exciting opportunity to join a band called DELAY. Being part of a band was a whole new experience for me. In the group, I played guitar alongside another guitarist, a singer, a bassist, a drummer, and a keyboardist. We practiced regularly and performed at several events in different locations. It taught me how to work as a team, listen closely to others, and adapt to new challenges. It also helped me grow as a musician and gave me the confidence to play in front of larger audiences.Sadly, I had to leave the band before going to Germany for my exchange year. It was a difficult decision, but I knew that this new adventure would help me grow in a different way. Even though I’m away from home, I still hope to continue playing guitar while I’m in Germany — whether it’s playing on my own, jamming with new friends, or even finding a small music group to join there.

Music has been a constant part of my life — it helps me relax, stay focused, and connect with people. No matter where I go, I know that my guitar will always be there to bring comfort and creativity into my everyday life.
